ARTSN Returns & Refunds Policy

We stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of every handcrafted ARTSN board. Because each piece is made from 100% natural wood using traditional techniques, no two boards are identical, natural variations in grain, color, and texture are what make your board unique, not defects.

Returns

We accept returns within 30 days of purchase for regular-priced items that are unused, in original condition, and in original packaging.

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact us at hello@artsn.com with your order number
  2. Provide photos of the item in its current condition
  3. Await return authorization and instructions

Return eligibility:

  • ✓ Regular-priced items, unused and undamaged
  • ✗ Sale or discounted items (except if faulty, see below)
  • ✗ Custom or personalized orders (except if damaged on arrival)
  • ✗ Items outside the 30-day return window

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we'll notify you within 2-3 business days. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 7-10 business days.

Important:

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable
    • If your order included free shipping, a $20 shipping fee will be deducted from your refund.
  • Return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund
  • We recommend using tracked shipping, ARTSN cannot be held responsible for items lost in return transit

Faulty or Damaged Items

We will accept returns, and provide full refunds (including original shipping) for boards that arrive with significant defects that compromise functionality.

What qualifies as faulty:

  • Deep cracks or splits that affect structural integrity
  • Severe warping that prevents the board from sitting flat
  • Damage from shipping or manufacturing that makes the board unusable

What's considered natural character (not faulty):

  • Minor variations in grain pattern, color, or char intensity
  • Minor warping that doesn't prevent the board from being used safely and effectively (up to 5mm)
  • Small natural knots or mineral streaks
  • Slight color variations between photos and your board
  • Surface texture variations inherent to the Shou Sugi Ban process

If your board arrives damaged: Contact us at hello@artsn.com within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos showing the defect
  • Description of the issue

We'll work with you to resolve the issue immediately. Depending on stock availability and the nature of the defect, we reserve the right to offer a replacement board rather than a refund. In all cases, we'll cover return shipping and any costs associated with getting you a fully functional board.

Samples

All samples are Final sale - no returns or exchanges

These studio samples are sold as-is. Because quantities are limited and unique, all purchases are final.

If you receive a sample that is damaged or faulty, you will be provided with a store credit, and you will not need to return the damaged board.
