"A Connection to Heritage" in Japanese

A single piece of hardwood, hand-charred using Yakisugi - the Japanese technique of preserving wood through fire.

These boards feature our original beeswax and mineral oil finish - the finish we used before moving to our current plant-based curing oil. Side by side with our latest boards, the finish looks and feels different. That's why we're offering these as studio samples rather than Signature Series boards.

Studio Samples may have minor surface imperfections or slight movement when used for cutting. Guaranteed for serving - not recommended as a primary cutting board.
