The Dougu Prep Board ("small tool" in Japanese) is our most compact shou sugi ban cutting board. At 30cm x 20cm, this ultra-compact board isn't meant to replace your main cutting board - it's designed to excel at specific tasks where a smaller surface is actually better.
Think of it as your dedicated herb board, bar prep station, or garnish zone. Small, nimble, and always within reach.

Our process begins with responsibly sourced timber and reclaimed logs, carefully cut into smaller blocks. Through expert craftsmanship, these blocks are transformed into beautiful boards, each piece telling the story of sustainability and an artisans craft.

The board is a great addition to my black kitchen. It doubles as a cutting board & a serving platter. Very easy to clean. Cutting lines are very subtle but add a character aspect to the board. I have a smaller one & a large one. Both sizes very useful.
